About

For the Lovers is a set of speculative design objects that live in a setting in which the the future marriage becomes less and less necessary for living. Without this goal or “restriction”, passion and love are only factors that keep people together. However, many people still think a long term relationship is necessary for them to feel belonging and secure. They start to see maintaining passion in relationships as a job in order to keep them from being “fired” by their partner. Objects are made to help partners to communicate and give clues during work as they are now each other’s boss and colleagues.

Material: wood, glass jar, fabric, aluminum sheet, plastic tube, mini plastic containers, wood ball, metal ball, silicon, food

Making process: wood work, metal work, soft good, cooking (?)

For the Lovers 是一组思辨设计（Speculative Design），存在于对未来想象的叙述之下。假设在未来的社会，婚姻已逐渐变成非必需品。如果没有这层契约的保护/限制，“爱”与“激情”将是维持亲密关系的唯一要素。那些依然渴望通过长期亲密关系求得安全感的伴侣们何以留住爱？

材料：木、玻璃罐、绒布、铝片、软管、小塑料容器、小木珠、小钢珠、硅胶、一些食物

制作方式：木工、金工、裁缝、烹饪（？）
